Commercial deployments govern through Databricks Unity Catalog; Azure Government deployments govern through the self-hosted OSS Unity Catalog server (loom-unity) — same REST surface, no Databricks or Fabric dependency. Browse and manage catalogs, schemas, tables, volumes, functions and models; grant privileges on any securable; manage external locations and storage credentials; and share data via Delta Sharing. Where a capability is backend-specific, an honest note names the Loom-native equivalent.
